It began in a closet at Salem UCC.

In the mid 1980's, Debbie Bass and other members of Salem began buying loaves of bread to supplement the government cheese that was delivered to families in need. Food was stored in a closet at Salem. This was the beginning of what would grow into the Food Pantry at Badger Prairie Needs Network.

In addition to the food pantry, BPNN now hosts community resources, community meals, social work offices and much more.

Salem has supported the BPNN from its beginnings to today. Pictured below is Debbie Bass, who received a commendation from the governor's office on the occasion of her 90th birthday, which coincided with the Last Build at BPNN to expand its storage and services.
