PHOTO & TEXT EXHIBIT
Nothing to Hide
Mental Illness in the Family
From Family Diversity Projects
This photo-text exhibit presents photographs taken by Gigi Kaeser and interviews conducted by Jean Beard and Peggy Gillespie, with families whose lives are affected by schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, major depression, anxiety disorders, and other brain disorders. The photos and text in this exhibit dispel harmful stereotypes, misconceptions, and myths about mental illness.
These compelling accounts demonstrate strength, courage, integrity, and accomplishment in the face of adversity and stigma — giving people living with mental illness and their families an opportunity to come out of the shadows and into the public eye.
